While teaching at the TaurHEMAchia 2015 in Turin, I had the opportunity to do some sparring with Eleonora Manoni.
I was pushing myself to do a full two hours of sparring, taking only brief breaks for water and to give some feedback to each of my partners. Back when I used to train karate, I could keep sparring for two or three hours quite easily. The weight and heat of all the HEMA gear makes that much more difficult, but I wanted to push myself to see what I could achieve physically.
I did manage the full two hours before the event concluded, but I was exhausted!
