The Word "Voice" Is Over-used?
All year I am watching people signing up to forums and facebook and all other outlets using the word "Voice" or voiceovers. If you're looking to promote yourself, then stop using the word VOICE It has over 266,000,000 pages/site already containing that keyword.
Where do you expect to rank in those figures? You actually may not rank at all. All your doing by using the word "voice" on your profile or web-page is adding yet another web-page containing the keyword "voice" to the back of the Google listings and increasing the figures. You're not going to be found by clients and voice seekers this way. You need to work on posting new content people.
Google considers these sign-ups as Spam and ignores those one-off listing which it crawls. Unless that profile or website consists of at least 50+ web-pages based on voices and or a voice-over service. It won't be considered...especially since it'll be a long time before anyone links to your content, (providing its worth linking to).
If you are actually trying to promote your voice-over biz. Then you might want to read my last blog-post? It basically explains why you should write a lot of new content so you can be found on search engines, just like Google..etc... Blog link is as follows:
Why Write Content For Promotion
If you're jumping into the pool trying to make a quick $$$ from VO....you're not going to get any work and you'll join the rest of the people stuck at the bottom of the Google statistical swamp. So do us all a favor and quit before you start spamming. You're just making it harder for searchers to find authentic talent who are trying to make it in the VO biz.
My two cents.
