Choosing What To Write About On Your Blog
Many of you may be regulars watching for new posts I may post up. I've been trying to make the time to write a couple of different articles about various areas I work in or which I like to work in. I was planning to write a couple of articles each night. It's not always easy for bloggers to find or write new content, since writing for one; is a skill and a talent in itself.
Choosing a topic to write about on a blog can be somewhat sophisticated if your blog is dedicated to one specific sector/industry/community. It's fortunate for me that I can write about various random subjects because my blog is not typically pointed and driven in one direction.
But, if you find yourself stuck? Why not look at a competitors blog and write about what they're writing about, just until you come up with some fresh content of your own....anyway, most times when you start writing about something you've heard or read elsewhere, this is a great way to drive your topic in a different direction all together.
For example; you're a voice talent and you like to write about studios and whatnot. Go to a voice talents site (of your choice) - see what they recently wrote about, and begin to write an article based on what you've read on their site, and the reason I advise this; Is simply because once you start writing about it, you instantly get a fresh idea to write about something else which will be somewhat related but different.
Don't ponder, that wastes your time, so go read around for ideas.
I've never been a fan of blogging. But I must admit, I used to hate it and that's probably because I couldn't spell and I'd make an ass of myself wherever I posted. :) But I don't care, I'd like to think I've come a long way from where I actually learned to read/write and spell-check without error! Its something that comes with experience. That's why I was never mad on writing stuff before. Remember, I'm going back as far as my youth here!
Now, as time progressed, I've entered many areas of business which requires you to write correctly. Web site design, voice-overs, Image design, Business marketing, Business analytics's, and a few other areas I work in. Feewwww, with all the sites I have, its surprising that I actually have time to blog at all. Then again, we got to make time for the things we love too. Blogging is one of them things I love!
